I got a report from a user saying that the homepage of my site scrolls in a "very jagged and sluggish way." I've tested it on my own devices (workstation, laptop, and phone) and everything runs smoothly. I'm curious to know if this is a common issue or if it might be isolated to specific setups. If you are having scrolling issues, does it only happen on the homepage or across other pages as well? Thanks in advance for your input!

I’m on an iPhone 14 and it's super smooth! The site looks great, by the way!
I found it smooth on my Pixel 6 Pro — no complaints!
It was a bit jerky the first time I loaded it, but after that, it was fine. Do you think the homepage is too heavy with data? Maybe it needs to load on scroll instead?
From what I've seen, the homepage has a lot of content (over 350 entries) and animations, which could slow things down initially. The speed optimizer plugin is helping, but it’s still resource-heavy.
Must be a conspiracy! Or maybe it’s just someone with low-power mode on their device? You could simulate CPU slowdown in Chrome to see how it affects performance.
How do you actually simulate CPU slowdown in Chrome? I just tested while my laptop was updating and it was laggy on the homepage but fine afterward.
I tested it on my Pixel 8 using Chrome and it was smooth as can be! No issues at all. 😊
Same here, I have the Pixel 8 Pro and used Firefox with no sluggishness either.
Great point! I've got fiber internet and a powerful machine, and it’s smooth for me. Maybe it's a setup issue on your end.
