Is Arch Linux a Good Starting Point for New Users?

I'm looking to dive into the Linux world, and I've seen some really cool customized setups on various platforms, especially those that use Arch Linux. Given that I'm a beginner, I'm wondering if starting with Arch is a wise choice or if I should consider something else first. Any thoughts or experiences to share?

Honestly, starting with Arch might not be the best idea for a beginner. The installation process can be a hassle, and since it's a rolling release, updates can sometimes break things unexpectedly. Plus, you can achieve those awesome custom setups you see anywhere with other distros like Debian. I've got a couple of riced Debian setups myself that look fantastic without the Arch headaches.

How did you pull that off on Debian? I heard Hyprland doesn't play well with it.
