Hey everyone! I just started learning Django, and I've been getting the hang of forms, models, and views. Seems really cool so far! But then, I stumbled upon a video where someone claimed that Django is 'dying' and not worth learning anymore. I'm curious, is there any truth to that? Will Django have any opportunities for freelancing or jobs in 2025? I'd really appreciate some honest opinions on this!

Don't stress about it! Django isn’t going away anytime soon, if it’s even dying, it’s a slow fade. Learning Django is definitely worth it. Even if you don’t use it professionally, the skills will help you with other technologies.
Exactly! According to some people, everything seems ‘dead’ nowadays, especially since they want views!
If you’re learning Django to get a job, check current job postings to see if it’s in demand. If you're just doing it for fun, then go for it! It's a solid framework to build a foundation.
Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely check the job scene.
I appreciate that perspective!
Nah, it’s definitely not dying. A lot of people just push new tech forward for clicks. Don’t get swayed by those claims, they probably just want to get more followers or views.
Right? It's just a trend chaser mentality these days.
So true! Anyone claiming otherwise is probably just looking for attention.
I’m currently working on a production project using Django, and I’m feeling good about it! I really don’t think it’s going anywhere any time soon.
Awesome! That’s reassuring to hear.
Glad to know it’s actively being used!
Let’s be real: every programming language or framework goes through this. People said PHP was dead, but it still runs a huge chunk of the web. Django might not have the biggest share of backend jobs, but it still has a solid place, and those skills you gain will carry over to other frameworks too!
Exactly! It’s all about context and adaptability.
Good point! We really do forget that many ‘dead’ languages are still significant in the industry.
Totally agree! It’s important to focus on learning, regardless of what some YouTubers claim.
