I'm currently studying computer programming in college with plans to pursue a web development career. While I'm open to learning different software, Dreamweaver feels outdated to me, especially since my teacher is quite adamant about using it. She seems proud that you can insert images without coding the paths. Is anyone actively using Dreamweaver? What tips do you have to get the most out of this tool? This class is centered around design; we will also cover Photoshop, but it seems more logical to me if we learned Figma and how to convert designs into code. Am I wrong in thinking Dreamweaver doesn't contribute to my skills?

Most web developers nowadays prefer tools like Figma for design and write code in editors like VS Code. You might get some basics about HTML and CSS from Dreamweaver, but I suggest looking at it as a stepping stone rather than a main tool. Just focus on getting the fundamentals down in your class, and then translate those skills into the modern tools when you can.
