I'm currently using GoDaddy's Shared Hosting for our web application, specifically their Windows hosting. The previous developer set the server location to North America, which is causing high latency issues since we're based in Asia. As I'm new to this role, I'd like to know your thoughts and experiences regarding transferring server locations. Would it be better to switch to a new shared hosting plan with a server in Asia, or is there another solution? I can't change hosting providers at the moment, even though I wish I could, since we're locked into GoDaddy.

I think you should definitely consider moving to a server located in Asia if it's available. High latency can really hurt your web app's performance, and having a server closer to your user base will help with that. Also, GoDaddy does have servers in Singapore, so that's a viable option if you're looking to stay with them. Just make sure to back everything up before making any changes!
If you can, make the move to an Asian server! You've got to do what's best for your app, even if it means dealing with GoDaddy's interface. Your users will appreciate the better experience, and that's what matters most.
Honestly, GoDaddy isn't the best choice for hosting. They’ve got a reputation for not being very developer-friendly. But if you have to stick with them, definitely consider switching to their Asia server. Your app's performance will improve significantly!
Yeah, the performance is a big deal. I hope they make the transition easy if you go for it.

Thanks for the tip! I wasn't sure if they'd have options in Asia.
