I'm considering building my first PC and have a budget of $400. Currently, I have a laptop with an integrated graphics card. I'm looking at a build that includes an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, a GTX 1080 Ti graphics card (which I found used for about $150 in Russia), a motherboard compatible with the AM4 socket, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a decent 500-watt power supply. I was originally thinking of the RX 5600 XT, priced at around $170, but it's weaker than the 1080 Ti. I'm curious if the 1080 Ti is worth it since I'm aiming for a system that can handle games like Hogwarts Legacy and Minecraft on high settings for the next 3-5 years before upgrading the graphics card again. In total, the build costs about $425 (33,000 rubles). Any thoughts?

For older or less demanding games, this build will definitely work. The GTX 1080 Ti is still a strong card for a lot of games.
I know that the PC market can be rough in Russia. The setup looks solid, but keep in mind that the power supply might be an issue. They usually recommend a 600 or 650-watt PSU for the 1080 Ti.
Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely consider upgrading the power supply.
What's your main aim with the PC? If you're looking to play the latest AAA games, you might hit some snags down the line. But for general use or older games, this setup should be just fine.
Yeah, I want to play AAA titles too, along with games like BeamNG and Minecraft, but I'll be playing at 1080p on high or medium settings.

I’ve seen benchmarks with the 1080 Ti, and it performs great in around 97% of games on high or ultra settings.
