I'm in the process of building a mid-range PC and need to decide if I should buy RAM now or hold off. I've already got most of the parts lined up and am planning to use DDR5 6000 for compatibility. With the current RAM prices being crazy, am I making a mistake if I buy now, or will I regret not getting it sooner as prices might keep climbing? I'm aiming to assemble everything later this winter.

Just buy when you need it! If you're ready to build now, there's no point in waiting. If the new tech is something you're excited about, it might be worth the investment, regardless of the price.
If you’re building a PC soon, I’d say go ahead and buy now. The prices are less likely to drop significantly in the short term. The AI boom isn't just a fad, so until there’s a major shift in that market, we might be stuck with high RAM prices for a while.
Honestly, it's tough to predict where prices will go from here. They could either stay high due to ongoing demand, especially with the AI craze, or maybe even drop if things shift. If you really need RAM now, it’s probably best to buy it sooner rather than later.
Yeah, I was hoping to wait for Black Friday deals too, but I'm starting to think I should just buy what I need.
It's all about your goals. I built my PC a couple of years ago, and while prices dropped after I bought my parts, it was totally worth the enjoyment I got during that time. If you're passionate about your build, maybe don't let future prices stress you out too much.
It’s a bit of a gamble right now. RAM prices can fluctuate based on demand from various industries, especially tech and AI. Manufacturers could ramp up production eventually, but that could take time. Think about whether you need the PC ASAP or can wait for uncertainty to clear up. My take? Don’t expect any major changes in price for about six months.

It's true, even if there's a drop eventually, it could take months for the manufacturers to catch up with demand!
