I'm thinking about upgrading from my RX 6600 to an RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of VRAM. However, I'm unsure if now is the right time to make this purchase. I'm also concerned about the possibility of a Super version being released that has 12GB for the same price as the current 8GB model (which would be fine for my needs). If I decide to go ahead with the RTX 5060 Ti now, are there any differences between models and brands that I should know about?

You're really just buying time. Get the 16GB version now since prices are on the rise and it’s finally close to MSRP. Unless you're into retro games, it seems like future titles will need more VRAM.
With RAM and VRAM prices on the rise, even if a 5060 Ti Super is launched, I wouldn't expect it to be priced well. Buying the 5060 Ti 16GB for around $430 seems like a good call right now.
Honestly, don't stress about new releases. Just grab whatever’s available now. By the way, have you considered the 9060 XT?
Sadly, I need NVIDIA for 3D rendering and VR.

Is ~$730 AUD a solid price for the 16GB version?
