Why Does My New PC Keep Restarting While Gaming?

I recently built my first PC using all brand new components, but I'm running into a frustrating problem: every time I play demanding games like Ragnarok or PUBG, my computer randomly restarts without any warning, no error messages or blue screens. Sometimes it shuts off immediately, while other times the audio cuts out first. I've done quite a bit of troubleshooting, including checking cables, replacing the power supply, reinstalling GPU drivers, updating the BIOS, reseating RAM, and even turning off XMP, but nothing has worked. The event viewer shows an Event 41 Kernel Power message, which seems to point towards a range of possible issues. My temperature readings are fine, ranging between 50 to 80 degrees Celsius, and I'm running Windows 11. Interestingly, I didn't experience any crashes when running Furmark at a friend's place. Could this potentially point to an issue with my power outlet? I'd really appreciate any guidance!

It sounds like you're on the right track with your troubleshooting efforts! Since you're getting that Event 41 Kernel Power error, it can often point to power issues. Try using a different power outlet in your house if you can, and avoid using power strips. Plugging your power supply directly into the wall could help isolate the problem. If the restarts stop, that might indicate a problem with your original power circuit.

I only have one outlet in range for my PC, so I’m using a power split adapter to have two—one for the PSU and one for the monitor. Do you think that might be causing the issue?
