Is it a Memory Issue Causing My Windows 11 Crashes?

Hey folks, I've been having some serious issues with my newly built computer. I was installing Windows from a USB stick when I encountered a black screen. After 20 minutes of nothing, I restarted it and got stuck on the motherboard splash screen. Then, I got a stop code: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (0XA), pointing to a problem with ntoskrnl.exe.

After wiping my SSD and doing a fresh Windows install, it seemed to be working fine until I received a PFN corrupt message and it crashed again. I did some research and learned that this could indicate a memory issue. I've run a memory check but can't find anything conclusive in the system logs. My exchange window for returning memory at Microcenter expires tomorrow, and it's a two-hour drive. So, I'm looking for some input on whether I should risk taking half a day off to go exchange my RAM. What do you think?

Looks like there was a mishap with your PCPartPicker link, so make sure to check it out and get the right one posted. It might help others give you more specific advice on your build and any potential issues.

Since your return window closes tomorrow, I’d suggest heading to Microcenter to exchange your RAM, just to be safe. If it turns out to be a memory issue, you won’t have an easy way to return it later. Better to err on the side of caution, right? You can always troubleshoot later if it's not the problem.

Totally agree! Plus, if you get a different brand of RAM, it might fix your issue for good. G.Skill is usually reliable, but sometimes switching it up can help.
