Is it better to have one large drive or two separate drives for my new PC?

I'm building a new PC and I'm trying to decide between using a single 2TB drive for everything or going with a configuration that includes a 512GB SSD for my operating system and a 2TB drive for other storage. What's the best option for flexibility and future-proofing?

Using a single drive simplifies things for most users, but having two can be beneficial for troubleshooting in the future.

Consider your budget! If you can, getting both a decent boot drive (like a 512GB or 1TB SSD) and a secondary drive for storage is a good plan. This way, even if your boot drive has issues, your data remains safe.

One 2TB drive is perfectly fine! If you want some separation, think about partitioning it into a 500GB section for the OS and the rest for your files.

It really depends on your storage needs. Can you start with a single 2TB drive now and possibly add another later if required?
