Is It Better to Learn Python and SQL or Stick with Java/Kotlin for Android Apps?

I'm getting back into coding after taking a break due to health issues, like having suffered two strokes which have impacted my mental capacity. I used to learn a bit of Java, HTML, and Kotlin for making Android apps but didn't finish because of these challenges. Now, I'm wondering whether I should continue with Android development using Java/Kotlin or switch to learning more flexible programming languages, like Python or SQL, that might offer better job opportunities. I've heard there's a lot of demand for data science and data engineering, so I'm also curious if that's an avenue I should explore. I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions about what to focus on. Thanks!

I definitely think you should learn Python and SQL! They're super flexible and can help you in various fields, especially in data science. Plus, they're pretty beginner-friendly.

I learned SQL as I needed it while building apps. You don't have to master it all at once—just pick up what you need along the way. There's tons of info out there and a short book can get you started with the basics. Same with Python—it’s popular for web and data stuff but remember, it’s not the best for mobile apps. If you're looking for a job, consider React Native for mobile development, as it's more in demand.

So you're saying learning web development might be more beneficial for job opportunities?
