I've had my PC built since late 2019, and I'm starting to feel its age, especially in games like Battlefield 6 where I experience constant high latency, likely due to my CPU. Currently, I'm running a Ryzen 3600 and a 1660 Super on an MSI B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard. I'm considering saving up for a Ryzen 5 7600 and a 9060 XT with 16GB, but I'd also need to upgrade my motherboard to a B650. I'm wondering if this full upgrade is worth it compared to just getting the 5800X3D, which is compatible with my current motherboard and might be adequate for 1080p gaming for the next few years. What do you think?

If you can find a 5800X3D at a reasonable price, that's definitely a solid option—it performs really well. However, if you go for the full upgrade with the 7600 and a 9060 XT, you’ll have a great setup for 1080p gaming. Just keep in mind that a complete new build will likely run over $1300, while the 5800X3D is often under $400, making it a cost-effective choice if you're budget-conscious. Think about how much you want to spend now versus future-proofing yourself!

I actually found a nice build option here: [check this out](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YHy86Q). It’s around $1080 for a 9600X, a B850 motherboard, 32GB of RAM, a 9060 XT 16GB, a 1TB NVME, and a 700W PSU. If the 5800X3D goes over $300, I’d skip it and just save for this build instead. Stick with AM4 for more than that seems like a waste.
