I'm wondering if leaving a YouTube video running on my desktop PC while I sleep will have any negative consequences in the long run. Is it bad for the computer, or is it just a waste of power?

Generally, it’s not going to hurt your PC much, but it does waste electricity. I usually set my computer to shut down automatically after a couple of hours of inactivity just to avoid running it all night. It’s a good compromise if you need something to help you fall asleep!
