Hey everyone! I'm totally new to Linux and eager to learn more. I'm wondering if I can run Linux on my MacBook Pro M3 Max, or would I be better off getting a different device for that? I'd love to hear any advice you might have! Thanks for the help!

Honestly, I'd recommend getting a standalone device. You can usually find second-hand desktops or laptops for under $200. This way, you can experiment with Linux without risking your main machine if something goes wrong!

Your M3 Max MacBook Pro likely won't support a native Linux install due to its architecture. However, you can use Homebrew, which gives you access to a Linux-like package manager on macOS. It’s a good starting point to explore Linux features right on your laptop!

Thanks, I'm definitely giving that a try!
