Is it Safe to Buy a Renewed CPU from Amazon?

I'm considering purchasing the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, and I've found some renewed options on Amazon that are about £30 cheaper. I'm wondering if it's worth the risk of buying a renewed CPU. How reliable are these renewed CPUs? Any advice would be appreciated!

It really depends on how much they're going for. I've seen new ones at around £397 and renewed ones at about £360. That said, I’d steer clear of Amazon for this. I've heard too many stories about people getting returned boxes with the wrong item inside because Amazon doesn’t always check them thoroughly.

Yeah, I've heard similar things! It's just not worth the hassle to save a little cash.

Honestly, I wouldn't risk it for just £30 less. By the time you factor in potential shipping costs or issues, you might end up paying more. It's probably better to invest in a new one if you can.
