Is it Safe to Buy GPUs From Amazon?

I'm currently using a 3060 Ti and considering options for an upgrade. Most retailers are out of stock on graphics cards, but I've noticed that Amazon has a lot of resellers selling GPUs, like the MSI 5070 Ti. Are these listings reliable, or should I be cautious? I'm also looking at 9070 XTs and refurbished 3090s, which seem to have similar price points. For instance, I found the 5070 Ti listed at $899 while the 9070 XTs start at $1100+. I'm trying to avoid overpaying and want to ensure I'm making a good decision, especially since I've recently upgraded my CPU to a 7800 X3D and I'm eager to play Monster Hunter at more than 60 fps on ultra settings. Should I pull the trigger on the 5070 Ti, or is it better to wait it out with my 3060 Ti?

Yeah, buying GPUs from Amazon can generally be safe as long as you buy them directly from Amazon or well-reviewed sellers. I bought my 3070 from there during the crypto shortage and it was a great experience; almost no markup.

Totally agree! Just make sure you check the seller's reviews first. It makes a big difference.

I got my 3080 from Amazon, and they have a great return policy, which adds some peace of mind. Just avoid those sketchy third-party sellers and stick to trusted ones.

Buying from Amazon is fine, but watch out for those third-party listings. They can be hit or miss, especially with GPUs. If it feels too good to be true, it probably is. Always inspect your card when it arrives and remember—30-day return policy is your friend!

Exactly! I once had a DOA card, but Amazon handled the return super fast. Just make sure to verify everything when it arrives.

Yeah, I've bought GPUs off Amazon without any issues. Just check that it's shipped and sold by Amazon to minimize risks. Prices are high right now, so be cautious about what you spend!

I bought a 6900 XT from Amazon last November. Unfortunately, it was dead on arrival, but returning it was hassle-free. Just make sure to double-check the seller before hitting that buy button.

That’s a good tip! Always better to play it safe, especially with how expensive GPUs are nowadays.
