Is It Safe to Turn On My PC After Sweat Dropped on the Motherboard?

While I was installing the heatsink, I accidentally let a drop of sweat fall onto my motherboard. I quickly wiped it off with a dry microfiber cloth. I asked a bot about it, and it suggested that I should wait 24 hours before powering it on again and that I should clean it with alcohol. Should I really clean it with alcohol? Is there a chance I could have damaged something?

Your motherboard is probably just fine! If you're feeling anxious about it, you can definitely use high percentage isopropyl alcohol to clean it up. Waiting an hour should be enough; 24 hours seems a bit over the top.

I only have the normal 96° alcohol at home, is that okay?
