Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my PC and I'm looking to swap out my current GPU, a RX 6700 XT, for the SAPPHIRE NITRO+ AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT. I've got an AORUS 850W power supply, but I'm running into an issue with the power cables. The 9070 XT requires three 8-pin (6+2) connections, and while my PSU has included some 6+2 cables, they're daisy-chained. I'm worried about the safety and performance when using these cables since the Nitro+ is pretty power-hungry. My plan is to use two individual 6+2 cables along with one of these daisy-chained cables. Do you think this setup is safe? Will I risk any overheating or connector damage, especially if I'm gaming on ultra settings?

Daisy chains have been widely used without issues for a long time. While individual cables provide more stable power delivery, the difference is usually negligible. Just make sure your PSU can handle the GPU, and you should be good to go!
I have a RX 7900XTX with a daisy-chained setup, and I’ve had no problems in two years. That card can pull up to 450W while gaming! You should be fine.
That's reassuring! Just to double-check, you're using one standard 6+2 and then chaining it for the additional connector, right?
I've been using my Asus 9070 XT with 2 individual 6+2 cables and one daisy-chained without any issues at all. Both setups have been stable, even under load.
Sounds like it’s working well for you! Just to make sure, you’re running one regular 6+2 and the other is daisy-chained, right?

Appreciate the feedback! As for the setup, should I go for 2 individual cables plus the daisy-chained one, or mix it up differently?
