Is it safe to use a second-hand Bluetooth keyboard?

I recently got an Anker Bluetooth keyboard for free and I'm a bit concerned about its safety. Before I start using it, I want to know how to ensure it's safe—especially from things like viruses or keyloggers. Any advice on what I should check or do?

I think you're overthinking it! It’s just a keyboard. Unless you're expecting it to transmit serious data somehow, just plug it in and see how it goes. What kind of danger do you think it poses?

I'm mainly worried about things like keyloggers or viruses.

Honestly, the safest approach is just to not use it at all if you're that worried. But it really depends on what you're referring to when you say 'safe.' You might want to consider what risks you're concerned about.
