Is it safe to use my iPhone with 72% battery health for another year?

I bought an iPhone 13 about 2.5 years ago, and currently, its battery health is at 72%. I'm wondering if it's safe to continue using it for another year or if that could lead to issues. The phone works perfectly – I charge it twice a day, and it runs smoothly without any lag. However, I've noticed that the battery life isn't as long as it used to be. Also, if I decide to sell it in India, how much could I expect to get for it? Thanks for your insights!

If it’s running well for you, definitely keep using it! I’ve got an iPhone 8 Plus that’s at 65%, and it still works great. The percentage just indicates how much less capacity it has compared to new, but it doesn’t mean it’s going to explode or anything. Just monitor it and replace the battery if you notice bulging or other issues.

You can definitely keep using it as long as it lasts! A battery at 72% doesn’t mean it’s ready to fail right away. Just make sure it charges fully; you might want to check if the optimized charging is turned on, which can limit charging. If you want to upgrade, check out trade-in sites like Backmarket.com—it can save you some cash!

Sure, you can use it for another year. Just keep an eye on performance. Once the battery health dips below 80%, you might see some random crashes or slowdowns, but it sounds like your phone is still handling everything fine. If you're facing issues, Apple can replace the battery for $89, which is something to consider if you want to keep it running smoothly.

I've got an older model with 65% battery health, and it runs perfectly fine too. Don't stress too much about the battery percentage—just enjoy your phone!

Yeah, I'm surprised how well it’s still performing. The only downside is that it doesn't hold charge for as long.

Honestly, as long as you're not experiencing any major lag or issues, ride it out! Just be prepared that charging might become more frequent. If it starts to swell, that’s when you should consider getting a new battery.
