I've been with my company for three years and have just gone through three different directors, one of whom recently gave their notice. The workplace can be tough, but I've managed to improve our tech infrastructure quite a bit. I often work independently, and I've successfully convinced leadership to invest in the right projects based on solid evidence. My current salary is $93k, which feels low to medium considering the high cost of living in my area. I'm responsible for a company with 750 employees, 500 endpoints, and 70 servers, and I've done a lot to rebuild our systems from the ground up. I'm wondering if it's reasonable to ask my boss for a raise or even consider the director position. Part of me feels like an imposter, though, so I'm not sure if I'm qualified for more.

What you’re dealing with daily would likely be a nightmare for many at a well-run company, and you’re managing it just fine! Maybe that perspective can help you assess your compensation more accurately.
You might want to go for the director role, honestly. Sounds like you’ve earned it with all that you've done over the years!
Exactly! If you’re not hating your job, then pushing for that director position could be a great move if you feel ready.
