Hey everyone! I'm currently using an MSI GTX 1660 with 6GB, and I've been thinking about upgrading my GPU. However, with the crazy state of the market right now, I'm feeling a bit hesitant. I'm considering either the RTX 5060 Ti or 5070, aiming for at least 16GB. Since I mainly game at 1080p and don't necessarily need the power for 4K, I'm a bit worried about overspending. I don't play the latest games often, as I also have a PS5 where I can enjoy those. My main games include Factorio and Cities: Skylines, but I would like to dive into some more demanding titles like Cyberpunk or RDR2. Any advice would really help! Also, if you have recommendations on what card to get, I'd love to hear them! By the way, my other specs are: CPU: Ryzen 7 5700x, Motherboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk Max II, RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, and Power Supply: 600W.

If you're really thinking about getting a new GPU, I’d say don’t wait too long! I recommend the 9060 XT 16GB over the 5060 Ti 16GB, though the 5070 is also good, albeit pricier. Just a heads up, the 5060 Ti and 5070 Ti are getting harder to find now.
Considering your build with a B450 motherboard, it's limited to PCIe 3.0, which might affect performance slightly. If you're looking to save some cash, I’d suggest going for an ARC B580; it has 12GB of VRAM and is priced around $240.
True, PCIe 3.0 won't cause major bottlenecks for gaming. I have a 9070 XT on a PCIe 3 setup, and the performance is just fine, comparable to some latest builds.
But keep in mind that the B580 operates with only 8 PCIe lanes. The 9060 XT is better because it uses 16 lanes, minimizing performance loss on a PCIe 3.0 board.
A 9060 XT or 5060 Ti would be a solid choice for 1080p gaming, and 16GB is more than enough for that resolution. You shouldn’t run into any major issues with performance.

With the odds of getting the 5070 Ti going down, the RTX 5080 is looking pretty appealing, especially since 16GB VRAM is becoming more desirable!
