I'm almost 26 and I never got to go to college. I've been thinking about going back to school, but I often feel like it's too late for me, which I know is silly. I'm curious if I can still make something of my skills without having a college education. What do you think?

Age really isn't a barrier! I'm in my 30s and just wrapped up my degree with a 4.0. Honestly, I found that studying at this age made me more mature and focused. But here's the reality: landing a job in this industry without a degree can be a challenge. At my graduation, it was packed—like, thousands of students, with so many of them having degrees in Computer Science or Software Engineering. Just imagine the competition you'll face nationwide!
I totally get that. Once you start applying for jobs, you'll see just how many people you're up against for the same position. If you don’t have a degree, it can really hurt your chances when hiring managers are looking through hundreds of resumes.
Honestly, there are tons of great jobs out there that don’t require a college degree at all. This field might be an exception, though.
Yeah, it definitely seems that way sadly!

It's absolutely not too late! You should definitely consider going back to school!
Thanks for the encouragement! It really helps to hear that.
You make a solid point! I guess I need to consider my timing better. I never really did well in school and didn't finish; I only made it to the 12th grade. But now I feel like I’m more ready to seriously pursue this path and go back to school, especially since I know what I want.
