Hey everyone! I'm 22 years old and last summer I interned in software architecture at a major bank. I've just received an offer to return as a full-time Technical Architect, and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by the idea of stepping into such a big role at my age. I have a strong background in infrastructure and DevOps, hold a dual degree in software engineering and business administration, passed the Azure Solutions Architect certification, and have worked as a freelance full-stack developer. Despite this, I still feel hesitant and uncertain about taking this leap. Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated!

Honestly, just keep your head in the right place. A big concern I see is young folks thinking that just having a fancy title means they know everything. If you've got the skills and they want to hire you, that's a great opportunity. Just remember, it's an opportunity to grow, not a reward for past achievements. You've got this! Good luck!
It really depends on what they expect from you in this role. A ‘technical architect’ can have a ton of different meanings. If it's more like a mid-level position where you're helping design things, it could be perfect for you. If they want you running major systems solo, that might be heavy for a first job. Definitely ask them what you'll actually be doing so you can gauge if it's right for you.
Take the position! You'll probably be the least experienced person at first, but that's okay! They’ll expect you to ask questions and learn as you go. If they offered it to you, they obviously see something in you. There are no major downsides here; you’ll have support on your journey!
I'm not sure this is the right fit for you. I used to work at that bank, and I found the environment chaotic. It'd be wise to chat with some future coworkers to get a feel for the place before making a commitment; it may not be as good as it sounds!
Totally agree! Understanding the company culture can be a game changer for your decision.
What's the worst that could happen? You might lose the job after a few months, but that could happen anywhere. Just take the plunge, dude!

Exactly! Get clarity on the role before you decide. It needs to align with your skills and experience.
