Is it worth buying the Windforce 5080 for $200 off MSRP?

I'm considering a Windforce 5080 that my cousin is selling for $850, which is a good deal since he decided to use a 5090 instead. I'm currently using a motherboard without WiFi, a GTX 1080 GPU, a 1700x CPU, and 16GB of RAM. Should I go for it, and also, which CPU should I upgrade to? I've noticed a lot of sales on motherboards and CPUs lately, so I'm really thinking about it.

Definitely go for the 5080! It’s a great idea to plan for a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM setup in the future to maximize your experience.

How does it compare to a lightly used 5070 Ti for around $700? I’m torn but I think I know the answer.

Absolutely! You should consider upgrading to a 5700x3d or an 5800x3d; they work with your current motherboard. Upgrading to 32GB of RAM would also be wise when you can afford it. The GPU upgrade will make a significant difference, but you might be bottlenecked by your CPU until you upgrade that too.

Sounds like a solid plan if you want to wait for the next generation of AMD!
