I'm considering upgrading my graphics card, but I'm torn between the 9070XT and the 5080. The thing is, where I live, the 9070XT costs about half the price of the 5080. Given the price difference, do you think it's still better to go with the 5080?

If you're aiming for maximum performance, the 5080 offers about a 21% boost in regular games and a 35% increase when it comes to ray tracing. But considering you're paying double, it might not be worth it if you just need decent performance for casual gaming. The 9070XT might be the smart choice if budget is a concern.

The performance difference is there, but also consider this: if ray tracing or specific Nvidia features matter to you, then maybe the 5080 is worth the investment. If not, the 9070XT at half the price is a pretty sweet spot!

I just made a similar decision! The 9070XT is great for 1440p gaming and a lot more budget-friendly. I went with the 5080 because I want to game at 4K and max out settings, plus it has better potential for overclocking. If you’re not chasing cutting-edge graphics or 4K gaming, save that cash and stick with the 9070XT.

Honestly, the 9070XT is somewhat comparable to the 5070Ti, so if we’re talking pure performance for the price, the 9070XT is a fantastic deal! The 5080 is definitely better, but it’s a significant price jump. If you’re not a hardcore gamer or don’t need top-tier performance for heavy processing tasks, the 9070XT should serve you well—especially based on what games you like to play and your current setup.
