I'm currently running a Ryzen 7 5800X, a 3060 Ti, and 32GB of 3600MHz RAM, and I'm able to play all my games smoothly at 1440p. However, I'm considering upgrading to a 9070XT and wondering if it's necessary to switch to the AM5 platform for better performance, or if I can hold off on upgrading for now.

If you're satisfied with your current setup, it's easy to hold off. I went from a 5800X to a 9800X3D, but I'm more of an upgrade junkie! My gaming experience has improved, especially in titles like Borderlands 4.
Exactly! If you're content with performance, there's no rush to upgrade. Plus, I'm seeing good performance from my setup without breaking the bank.
It really depends on your performance needs. I'm pretty satisfied with my setup, and I tend to hold off on upgrades unless absolutely necessary. I recently leveled up to a 5800X3D, which feels like the best choice I could've made. But I might consider setting up my current rig in another room for casual gaming.
I get it! I'm juggling a 5800X3D in my main and a 5600X for my living room. Definitely waiting for either AM6 or good deals.
With your specs, I think skipping AM5 makes total sense. RAM prices are crazy right now, and it doesn't sound like you’re bottlenecking at all!
I'm also skipping AM5, opting to wait for AM6 instead. With my R7 5700X, I get fantastic performance at 1440p, so I don't expect any bottlenecks for a while.
I'm planning to skip upgrading to AM5 as well. I don’t see any major games coming out in the next couple of years that would struggle on my rig. With the 5800X3D and new GPU, I'm in a good position for 1440p gaming!
Same here! The current prices make it easy to wait. I’m running a 5700X with a 3070, and it's still handling games just fine at 3440x1440.
Don't forget about GTA 6! But yeah, I think both of us are in a solid spot.

I get the urge to upgrade frequently, but if you're playing less demanding games, your setup can last a long while without needing changes.
