Should I Choose Air Cooling or AIO for My New PC Build?

I'm about to build my first PC and I'm stuck deciding between air cooling and AIO cooling solutions. I'm leaning towards AIO for the better RAM clearance and overall value. However, I'm also aware that air cooling might be simpler and avoids potential issues like leaks or pump failures. I need a cooling method that can efficiently handle a Ryzen 7 9800 or 9850X3D, especially with the possibility of overclocking and in warmer temperatures. Plus, I want to make sure it won't obstruct my 60mm tall Corsair Dominator Titanium RAM. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

For your CPUs, a good air cooler like the Thermalright Phantom Spirit can do the trick for around $40. AIOs are fine but remember that air and water coolers essentially work the same, just using different mediums to move the heat away. A quality air cooler can be just as effective, plus you avoid potential pump failures and leaks.

I went with an AIO for my 9800X3D, but honestly, I should've just stuck with air cooling. My chip runs cooler than expected, and I've had a bad experience with an AIO leaking on my GPU before.
