I've always used Windows and have no experience with Linux, but I'm starting to wonder if Linux could be a better fit for me. I want to know if gaming will be difficult on Linux and whether I should make the switch or not.

Switching your OS will definitely add some overhead. It can feel like taking on a second project, so be sure that you’re ready for that commitment without it being overwhelming.
Gaming on Linux can vary by game. Some work right out of the box, while others might need a bit of tweaking. If you're unsure about the switch, maybe consider what you’re hoping to achieve with Linux first.
I dual boot Windows with Debian and often stick with Windows for convenience. Installing Linux can be a good learning experience, especially for making games and apps work. Just be ready to put in some effort!

What about newer games like Red Dead Redemption 2? Do those work?
