I'm considering a trade-in deal where I can swap my 7600X for a 9600X for just $110, which includes a CPU master AIO cooler. I haven't had any issues with my current setup, but I noticed that the 9600X claims to have faster boot times and slightly better performance. Given this context, do you think it's worth making the upgrade?

This upgrade would be a waste of time in my opinion; the performance gains just aren’t worth it. If you're serious about gaming or need extra power, wait for the next generation or go for higher-end CPUs instead.
Pass on that upgrade. If you're going to spend money, look at getting an X3D chip instead. You'd see a much better performance increase.
The 9600X is only about 10% faster at most, so I wouldn't see much reason to upgrade unless you're itching for something new. It's really not that significant of an improvement.
That's kind of what I was thinking! Just wondering if I was getting too excited about new components.
Honestly, I'd say no. If you're going to upgrade, you might as well aim for something like the 7800X3D or 9800X3D.
Are you aware that the price difference between the 7600X and 9600X is actually around $20 for brand new parts? You might not be saving as much as you think with that trade-in.
I didn't know that! I just came across the trade-in offer and thought it was a good deal. I bought my combo two years ago for around $200.

I have thought about the X3D models, but they are definitely pricier.
