Is it worth upgrading my CPU and RAM for $200 to enhance gaming performance?

Hey everyone! I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 3600 and a GTX 1660 Super, but I've just purchased a RTX 2080 Ti to be ready for GTA 6 and other demanding games at 1080p+. I'm considering upgrading my CPU to either a Ryzen 5700X or 5800X, coupled with a new 32GB kit of 3200MHz RAM, or maybe just adding a matching 16GB of 3000MHz RAM to my existing setup. The whole upgrade would cost about $200, which fits my budget perfectly. This upgrade is mainly to prolong my gaming experience until I'm ready for a full system rebuild. What do you guys think? Should I go for this upgrade or save my money for later? I'm definitely upgrading the RAM regardless. Thanks in advance!

If you're already hitting your GPU limit with the 1660 Super, it might be better to focus on your graphics card first. The upgrades you're considering will give you better minimum FPS, but if your GPU can't keep up, the overall gaming experience won't drastically change. I'd recommend waiting until you feel the CPU is holding you back before spending on a new chip.

Honestly, upgrading to the 5700X is a solid choice if you're aiming for better performance, especially in CPU-heavy games. Just keep in mind that if you're hitting GPU limits right now, you might see only slight improvements in frame rates with just the CPU upgrade. But having 32GB of RAM will definitely help with future-proofing your setup. It would be wise to go for the RAM upgrade no matter what since it's a good investment for overall performance.
