Hey folks, I'm considering upgrading my current SSD from a WD Black SN750 500GB to a Kingston FURY Renegade PCIe M.2 NVME SSD 1TB. I'm curious if this upgrade will make a noticeable difference in gaming performance, especially for new MMORPGs with expansive worlds. The specs show the Kingston has read speeds of 7,300MB/s and write speeds of 7,000MB/s, while my current SSD has read speeds of 3,600MB/s and write speeds of 2,830MB/s. Will the difference be significant during gameplay? Thanks!

True, while technically the Kingston might seem faster, in real-world gaming scenarios, you probably won't notice much difference unless your game supports features like direct storage. And even then, the performance boost isn't massive yet.
The read and write speeds are important, but they mainly pertain to single large files since that's how they are stored. Most games aren't just one big file, so those speed differences might not impact your gaming experience at all. Even the jump from SATA to NVMe isn't as noticeable in gameplay as you might think!
Exactly! The speeds look impressive but for gaming, it usually won't make a huge difference.
The main benefits you'll probably see with the Kingston SSD are in loading times or during large file transfers, but it won't really help your frame rates. In short, it's not going to revolutionize your gaming experience.
Yeah, and don't forget that many games are optimized to run just fine on SATA SSDs too.
