Hey everyone! I'm considering upgrading my PC and wanted to get your thoughts. I'm looking at a brand new Galax RTX 3050 OC 6GB priced at $145. Is that a decent deal? I have an AMD Ryzen 3 3200G and I'm curious if the graphics card would provide a significant jump in performance. I also found an Asrock RX 6600 8GB for $215 and I'm torn between the two. I plan to play games like Red Dead Redemption 2, NBA 2K25, and Apex Legends, plus do some basic video editing. I'd really appreciate any insights or advice you could share. Thanks!

If you're okay with getting a used GPU, I'd say go for that option within your budget. You might find something better.
Are you switching from the Vega 8 iGPU? If so, massive upgrade! But keep in mind, the 3200G could bottleneck those GPUs due to its 4 cores and older architecture. It won't keep up in 2025!

Will the RX 6600 bottleneck even more than the 3050? Is the $70 difference worth it?
