I'm currently using an RTX 4060 paired with a Ryzen 5 5500, and I'm considering an upgrade to the RTX 5070. However, I'm on a budget and wondering if there will be a significant bottleneck if I upgrade the graphics card first and upgrade my processor later. How will this affect my gaming experience, particularly with titles like Elden Ring and Dark Souls?

Upgrading to the RTX 5070 should be fine! It’ll definitely boost your gaming experience, even with the Ryzen 5 5500. You might experience some minor bottlenecking depending on the game, but it's generally a solid upgrade. You can always get a better CPU later!

It could be worth upgrading your GPU before your CPU, especially if you're mainly gaming. The RTX 5070 will give you better performance in most scenarios, but keep in mind that the Ryzen 5 5500 might limit you a bit in some CPU-intensive games. Just make sure to check what you primarily play and adjust accordingly.

Bottlenecking really varies with what you're playing. Since you're into souls games, they don't typically require super high-end CPUs, so you'd likely be alright with your current one for now. Focus on the GPU upgrade if that's within your budget!
