I've been thinking about switching to a wireless controller for my PC because my wired one is falling apart. The wire gets loose, and it's just old. I recently found a battery that lasts up to 35 hours and only takes 3 hours to charge. However, I've heard there might be latency issues when using wireless controllers. I'm curious about how noticeable the latency really is, and if it makes a big difference in gaming. Are there specific types of games where this is more of a problem?

I often game from my bed with my HDMI output to the TV and haven't noticed much latency. If you're experiencing latency, you might have bigger issues at play. Enjoy the comfort!
I've been using wireless controllers for both PC and consoles for a while, and I haven't had any issues with latency. In my experience, it's not really a big deal unless you're playing competitive games where split-second responses matter.
I use an 8bitdo pro 2 wireless controller, and it works great for me. It really depends on the controller model you choose.
I prefer wired controllers myself since they provide a stable and reliable connection. My experiences with wireless setups have usually resulted in interference issues and stick lag, especially when I have Bluetooth devices like a headset connected too.
I personally don’t see latency problems either, but then again, I typically stick to single-player games and simulations on the controller. For FPS games, I use a keyboard and mouse because they just feel more precise. Just know that I’ve seen older discussions that mention latency with wireless setups, so it seems to vary by experience.

Yeah, FPS games are definitely better suited for a mouse, even without latency issues. I stumbled upon a discussion from years ago where the latency was a hot topic, just something to keep in mind!
