Is it wrong to use Docker on Windows?

I've been doing an internship for a month where we're learning about DevOps, Docker Desktop, and Kubernetes. Since I'm on Windows, I set up Docker Desktop with WSL integration, although I don't typically use Ubuntu. Everything has been running fine, and while my CPU takes a bit of a hit during exercises, I'm managing. However, I often feel judged by some colleagues when I mention that I use Docker on Windows—as if it's a big deal. Even when I share that I know some WSL commands, they still seem to look down on me. I get that Linux is ideal for Docker, and I'm starting to learn more Linux commands, but my background is mainly in software development with Windows. I don't plan on working in DevOps forever, so I'm sticking with WSL and Docker for now. Any advice on handling this situation would be really appreciated!

I totally get where you're coming from. I've worked with developers who use Windows while the rest are on various Linux distros, and their output is just fine! If Windows works for you, keep using it. Don't let anyone make you feel inadequate for your setup. Everyone has their own path, and if you're getting the hang of it, that’s what matters.

Thanks for the support! It's good to know I’m not alone in feeling this way. I guess I just need to keep focusing on my learning!
