I'm currently focusing on Data Structures and Algorithms using Java, and I'm considering diving into Java Backend Development. However, I've heard people saying that Java is dying, which has left me feeling quite confused. Can anyone provide guidance on whether I should pursue Java for backend programming?

Honestly, the claim that Java is dying mostly comes from people who haven't really been in the industry. Java is still very much alive and widely used in enterprise environments, plus a lot of Android apps are written in Java. If you enjoy working with it, definitely go for it! Learning Java can also make transitioning to languages like C# or Go easier down the line.

I can confirm Java is alive and kicking! There are tons of Java applications out there, especially in startups, and many traditional companies have Java codebases that still need maintenance. If you’re into both DSA and backend work, Java is an excellent choice. Plus, transitioning from Java to C# later is pretty smooth.

What sparked your interest in learning Java for backend development? It's important to think if this aligns with your long-term goals. But if you enjoy it and see its value in your career, then absolutely go for it!
