I currently have a PC build featuring an Intel i5-12400 CPU paired with a 5060 Ti graphics card and 32 GB of DDR5 RAM. I'm curious if I should consider upgrading my CPU in the near future since I struggle with understanding how CPU and GPU performance impact frame times. Even at 1080p, it seems like my GPU is the limiting factor, which is fine by me since I mainly play AAA titles and not competitive esports games. If I decide to upgrade the CPU, I would also need to replace my motherboard, power supply, and cooler, and possibly RAM, but I'm already on DDR5. Do you think my 12400 will still be sufficient for the next three years?

I’m a bit confused; are there specific games that aren’t performing well? It sounds like you’re asking about performance in general rather than pointing out any particular issues. If you’re not facing major problems, you might be set for a while!
Your current setup sounds solid, and there's actually no need to upgrade your CPU right now. The i5-12400 should hold up well for your gaming needs, especially since you're focused on AAA titles and not playing competitive games. Stick with it for a while longer!
You're in a good spot! The 12th gen CPUs like the 12400 don't have the same overvolting issues that some of the later generations do. You're set for a while unless you really want to push for the latest tech.
I actually found out my motherboard only supports 12th gen CPUs and hasn't had a BIOS update. So I'm kind of limited that way, lol.

I’m new to PC gaming and just upgraded to the 5060 Ti from a 3060 this year, so I'm still figuring things out. I haven’t changed the CPU since I got the computer. Just wondering if I need to do that now since I updated the GPU.
