Hey everyone! I'm working on my build and ran into a situation where the heat pipe from my CPU fan is almost touching a component on my motherboard. Specifically, it's about 1mm away from what looks like a capacitor or possibly a VRM. I installed a Jonsbo HP-400S cooler on an ASRock B760M-ITX, and since it blocked the CPU_FAN1 connector, I had to rotate it 180 degrees. I'm concerned that the proximity might lead to overheating, especially since this will be used as a 24/7 NAS and will occasionally be transported. Here's an image of the setup for reference: [https://imgur.com/a/1mm-clearence-FlIFmFE]. What do you all think?

I think the component you're looking at is a VRM, not a capacitor. Either way, 1mm is generally a safe distance, and those parts are usually insulated.
It seems fine to me! 1mm is pretty close, but as long as they're not actually touching, you should be alright. Just keep an eye on the temperatures and make sure your fan is running well.
You shouldn't have any problems. The pipe shouldn't get hot enough to damage that component. Just make sure there's good airflow in your case.
1mm is sufficient for safety; it's more about how heat is dissipated. Components seem fine at that distance, but keep monitoring it, especially since it's a 24/7 NAS.
