Is My CPU Pin Damaged? Need Help!

Hey everyone! I recently switched from a Fractal Terra case to a Dan A4 H20 to fit an AIO cooler (NZXT Kraken 240) because my previous air cooling was too loud. After the swap, my PC started experiencing severe stuttering, particularly with audio and in games, and I noticed my CPU temps spiking to around 70°C even while idle. I checked the AIO, and it appears to be properly mounted and functioning. However, I suspect one of the CPU pins might be fried, especially the one in the middle of the picture I attached. Additionally, I reinstalled my GPU drivers and replaced my RAM since the previous ones were too tall and potentially causing issues. To add to my concerns, I've been using a damaged 24-pin PSU connector. Am I risking damage to my motherboard by continuing to use it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Here are my specs: CPU: 7800x3d, GPU: 4070ti Super, Mobo: Gigabyte A620i AX, RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000MHz CL30 Corsair Vengeance (non-RGB).

Hey! The high temps are definitely concerning, but spikes to 70°C at idle aren’t usually enough to cause throttling. Stuttering often points to a clock stability issue, and at 70°C, you should be fine. When you swapped your RAM, did you make sure to enable your XMP profile? I’m not seeing any signs of a fried pin in the picture you're referencing either. I think the pin holding the +4 connector is still intact, so it’s unlikely to blame.

Yeah, I confirmed XMP is enabled after changing my RAM. The middle pin looks slightly darker than the others in the picture, so I’m just worried it might be damaged. Is there any chance that my RAM slot could be messed up even if Task Manager is detecting both sticks?
