I'm putting together my first PC and would love some feedback on the components I've chosen. Could someone let me know if these parts are compatible, or if there's anything I should consider swapping out to avoid bottlenecks? Also, I want to highlight that I already have the SSD and monitor, so those aren't up for change. Here's what I've got so far:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI II
- Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 32 GB (2 x 16 GB)
- Storage: Crucial P5 Plus 2 TB NVMe SSD
- Graphics Card: Radeon RX 6750 XT (XFX Speedster QICK 319)
- Case: Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
- Power Supply: MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750W
- Thermal Paste: Arctic Silver 5
- Case Fans: Thermalright TL-C12C-S X3 (3-Pack)
I appreciate any insights you can provide!

First off, what's your budget? Just a heads up, the platform you're considering is nearing its end of life. You might want to think about going for a B650 motherboard paired with either the Ryzen 7 7600X or 9600X CPU. For memory, 32GB (2x16GB) of DDR5 RAM at 6000 MHz is ideal; 16GB is starting to feel a bit low nowadays. And don't forget about a CPU cooler – the Thermalright Peerless Assassin is a solid choice. Also, you won't really need the extra thermal paste since the CPU cooler comes with its own. As for the GPU, the Radeon RX 6750 XT is getting a bit old. Have you considered checking out newer options?
My budget is around 1200-1500 AUD (not including the SSD and monitor). I'll definitely check out the 7600X and the B650 motherboard, but for the graphics card, I found that the RX 6750 XT is one of the best values right now at about 500 AUD. I might have to bite the bullet on the CPU and motherboard upgrades to go for AM5 and DDR5 RAM, although it could push my budget higher. I'm also planning to use the Wraith Stealth cooler that comes with the CPU – thanks for your input!
