Hey everyone! I recently built a new PC with a GameMax GX 750W 80+ Gold modular power supply. I've been using it for about two weeks now without any issues like crashes or overheating. My specs are an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, an NVIDIA RTX 3080, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. However, I've come across quite a few posts warning against GameMax PSUs. I'm concerned about the long-term reliability of my PSU and whether it could pose any risks to my components. Should I keep using it or consider replacing it soon? I'd love to hear your honest opinions!

I wouldn't trust a low-quality PSU with something as demanding as an RTX 3080. It's just not worth the risk.
I made the mistake of using a cheap PSU and ended up damaging my entire PC, costing me a few hundred bucks. It's worth it to invest in a quality PSU from the tier list to ensure longevity and safety.
Just keep in mind that you might not notice issues with the PSU right away. A bad PSU can cause gradual damage to your components over time, and it might lack some essential safety features.
If you're still within the return period, just return it and buy a PSU with better reviews. There are some budget-friendly options from MSI and ASRock that are pretty reliable.
I checked the PSU tier list and GameMax PSUs are rated as 'E' tier. That's pretty concerning since it's only one step above potentially hazardous options. I’d recommend replacing it as soon as possible to avoid risking your high-end components.
C tier is acceptable for budget builds, but with your setup, I'd say you need a minimum of B- for peace of mind.
Honestly, that PSU sounds like garbage. I'd never use something like that for a build worth over $200. Either return it or sell it and invest in a quality budget PSU like the MSI A750BN.

C tier is okay for some setups, but for a high-power GPU like the 3080, I’d definitely aim for at least a B tier PSU.
