I've got an Asus Tuf Gaming laptop with an AMD Radeon RX 7600S, AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS, and 16GB of RAM. Lately, I've noticed my GPU temperature sitting around 52 to 55 degrees Celsius while idle, even when I don't have any programs running. Since my laptop is only about a year old and seems to be working well otherwise, I'm unsure if this temperature is normal or if I should be concerned. Would cleaning the fans or changing the thermal paste help, or am I just overthinking this?

I wouldn't worry too much; that temperature is completely normal for most laptops. Unless you start noticing performance issues or if the temperature spikes dramatically under load, you're likely good to go!
Honestly, those temperatures are pretty typical for a laptop. They often have fan profiles that keep them quiet while idle, so the fans might not kick in until it gets warmer. What you really want to keep an eye on is how the GPU performs under load—those temperatures are totally fine as long as you're not experiencing throttling when gaming or running demanding tasks.
Exactly! As long as it runs smoothly without overheating while gaming, you're probably in good shape.

Yeah, I've been worried too because I took my laptop outside in the cold and thought it might get damaged. I mostly play lighter games, but I noticed the temp goes up to around 60 when I'm playing something like Disco Elysium.
