I've put together a new PC build for 1080p gaming, and I want to know if it's considered 'future proof' for that resolution. I don't plan to upgrade to 1440p or 4k anytime soon, and I'm content with staying at 1080p for the foreseeable future. Here's the setup I've ordered:

- **CPU:** Ryzen 5 7500F
- **GPU:** Asus TUF RX9060XT O16G Gaming
- **RAM:** 16GB Kingston DDR5 6000MHz (2 sticks)
- **SSD:** WD Black SN850X, 2TB, M.2 PCI-E x4 Gen4 NVMe
- **Cooler:** Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black CPU Air Cooler
- **Motherboard:** ASUS TUF GAMING B650 PLUS WIFI
- **PSU:** ASUS 750W Gold PSU TUF-GAMING-750G
- **Case:** Deepcool MATREXX55 V4 C Black ATX Midi Tower with RGB Fans

I appreciate any feedback on whether this build will last me a couple of years for 1080p gaming!

Honestly, this build should hold up well for the next five years on high settings for most games, and even longer if you lower the settings a bit. You should be set for a while!

Awesome, that’s really good to hear! I usually play RPGs, so I’m not too worried about AAA titles.

If you’re planning to stick with this build, consider focusing on maximizing DDR4 with a 5700X3D in the future. Just my two cents!

Thanks for the thought! I’ve already committed to this setup but appreciate the offer for future considerations.

Your GPU is solid for single-player games; titles like Cyberpunk and RDR2 will look great. But since you play mostly single-player RPGs, have you thought about upgrading to a 1440p monitor? It would definitely enhance your gaming experience without losing much essence of 1080p gameplay.

Yeah, going for 1440p is a great suggestion, especially for those visually stunning RPGs! The graphics would really pop.

You should be good for 1080p gaming, but I would double-check the motherboard. Ensure it has the latest PCIe slot for potential future upgrades. Some parts might feel undervalued due to the current market — considering how prices can fluctuate, you might’ve snagged a good deal regardless!

That’s a fair point! I actually panicked bought a bit due to rising prices here, but I appreciate the feedback!
