I've got an older PC that still does its job, but I'm concerned about my 120GB Samsung 830 SSD since it's now 14 years old. The Samsung Magician software shows that 118TB has been written to it, yet it still rates the health as "Good". Are these drives really that durable, or could the software be misleading? I've attached a screenshot with what I think are the important details highlighted.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about replacing it just yet! If the SSD is still functioning and the software says it's in good shape, just keep using it until it fails. SSDs can last a long time, and it's great yours has held up for 14 years!
If Samsung says your drive is good, it probably is. Just keep an eye on it and make sure to have backups. Those older SLC and MLC drives can handle a lot of wear, and you've only used about 10% of its lifespan based on the write cycles.
You might want to check out Crystal Diskinfo for more insights on your SSD's health. It can provide additional details that could be helpful.
It's impressive your SSD has lasted this long! Just remember, SSDs can fail suddenly, so if you have anything important stored on it, cloning your data to a new SSD could save you a headache down the line.

But don't forget to back up your data just in case! Better safe than sorry.
