Is My PC Build List Good for a $2000 Budget?

I'm planning to do my first full PC build and I've created a parts list that's around $2000. Here's what I've got: I'll be using an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X processor, a decent liquid cooler, and a few other high-quality components, including a 2TB NVMe SSD with a heatsink. I also have plans for good airflow with three intake fans and two exhaust fans. I'm a little concerned about whether the heatsink is necessary and if daisy-chaining the fans will work if I split them between the front and back. What do you think of my list? Any suggestions for improvements or issues I should be aware of?

For a $2k budget, you might want to reconsider the CPU and GPU combo. The RTX 5060 Ti seems a bit underwhelming for that price point—aim for at least a 5070 or even a 9070 XT to really maximize your setup. Check out larger PC build resources; they often show what you can do with a similar budget.

Honestly, spending nearly $400 on a case might not be the best use of your funds, especially if your components aren't top-tier. You can find plenty of great cases for under $150 that come with enough fans to keep everything cool. Just a thought: maybe allocate that extra cash towards a better GPU instead!

I get why you’re excited about the AM4 platform, but it’s a bit dated for a new build at this budget. You could invest in an AM5 and get a better GPU for the power you need. For around $2,000, I'd look at completely upgrading your components to get a real boost in performance—for example, a 5070 Ti would work great!

Sounds like a solid plan! I’m definitely leaning towards an AM5 setup now. The case looks cool, but I don't mind spending a little extra for aesthetics if it means having a nicer build overall. Thanks for your input!
