I'm looking to upgrade my gaming PC primarily for Rust, as my current setup only gives me around 40-50 fps. I already own a 4060Ti (16GB) that I got for a great price and want to center my new build around the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which I've heard is a fantastic CPU for playing Rust. My budget is around 1000-1250 euros. I've managed to create a build outline with some help, but since I don't know much about hardware, I want to make sure it all makes sense before I buy anything. I know I'll eventually upgrade my GPU too, probably in a year or two, but I'm curious about your thoughts on my current build and if there are better options out there!

If you're planning to upgrade your GPU soon, this build seems fine for now. Just double-check that your power supply can handle a future upgrade – a 650W PSU might be on the edge.
Instead of waiting to upgrade both CPU and GPU, consider doing them together if Rust is unplayable right now. I hear the new Zen 6 CPUs will be releasing soon too, so that could be an option later on.
I totally get that, but the game's pretty much unplayable for me currently, so I need to make a move.
It looks like you used the wrong version of PCPartPicker! There’s actually a more cost-efficient setup available that offers the same performance but with a better PSU. Here’s a list if you're interested.
I didn’t have a choice for my country, so I went with Germany. But I appreciate you sharing this alternative!
You might want to pick a more cost-effective CPU cooler. I have the 9800X3D, and a decent air cooler can save you a lot. The Noctua NH-U12S works great and is much cheaper. Use those savings to grab a better PSU for future GPU upgrades.
I just checked out the Peerless Assassin, and it's only $32. Sounds like a great deal!

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll make sure to look into a stronger PSU before I commit.
