Is My PC Ready for Another GPU Upgrade?

I have an i7-12700k, 32GB DDR4 RAM, and a 750 Watt power supply, currently running an RTX 4080. I'm thinking about upgrading to the RTX 5080 Ti or Super when it comes out, but I'm not sure if my processor, RAM, and PSU can keep up for another 3 to 4 years. I primarily game at 1440p and use my PC for various tasks, including playing AAA games. Will my setup hold up with another GPU upgrade?

Upgrading to a 5080 Super might be pushing your 750W power supply a bit, but a 5070 TI Super should work just fine. Your CPU and RAM are solid for now, so you shouldn't have any issues there.

At 1440p, your setup should hold up just fine! The 12700K may be older, but it'll still perform decently in most games. Just remember, it might be the limiting factor in some scenarios.

Your PSU might be on the edge, but as long as you manage your power usage, you should be good to go. Consider undervolting your CPU to get more headroom if issues arise. If you're gaming at 1440p, you should notice solid performance!

Definitely go for it! While you might not get the absolute best performance out of a 5080 Super, it’ll definitely work. Just keep your expectations in check.

Exactly! If the CPU ends up holding you back, you can always upgrade it later. Nothing's fixed together, after all!

Can't say for sure, but I’d lean towards yes. Even if your CPU isn't the best after upgrading, you can just shift your new GPU to a better platform later.
