I've got a desktop setup with an ASUS P8H67-M PRO motherboard, an Intel Core i5-2500 CPU, and an overclocked XFX Radeon HD 6850 GPU. It has 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500GB Samsung 870 Evo SSD, and two 500GB Seagate Barracuda HDDs. I'm curious if this setup will still be usable in 2025, considering its specs. Will it handle tasks like web browsing, office work, or even some light gaming?

Honestly, it's not the best option for modern tasks. The storage drives could still be useful, but the rest of the hardware is pretty outdated for most contemporary applications.
For basic office or home use, your setup is fine. But for gaming, I would look for something more powerful. If you’re just browsing or working with documents, it’s still usable.
2D games or some older AAA titles should be alright on this rig. But if you want to play the latest games, you might be disappointed. It's not really viable for modern gaming.
It really all depends on what you need it for. For banking, office work, or light web browsing, it’ll do fine. But if you plan to multitask or run demanding applications, it’s going to struggle. For me personally, I wouldn't use it as my daily driver because it's just too weak.
Adding another 8GB of DDR3 RAM could help, depending on your operating system. It might give you a bit more breathing room for multitasking and general use.
If you're into older games, then yeah, it can still hold up. You might have some luck with certain Unity games and a few rare Unreal Engine 4 titles. For lighter tasks like surfing the web or using office applications, it should work fine. Just keep in mind it's pretty dated!
That's not entirely true. Sure, it's weak for modern gaming, but for anything else, it's still perfectly fine!
